Windows 7, gia va meglio!

Ho scaricato una copia di valutazione in spagnolo (non essendoci in Italiano ho preferito una lingua latina a un’anglosassone) e l’ho installata in una finestra di virtualbox su un Pentium 4 a 3 Ghz (quindi non un pc di ultima generazione).
La conclusione è che sembra proprio che Windows 7 funzioni molto bene, che sia veloce e stabile. Grafica semplice ma efficacissima.
Vi mostro, senza scendere in dettagli tecnici, come si presenta Windows 7.
La prima cosa che ci tengo a sottolineare è che finalmente si può disinstallare Explorer. Ho appreso da un commerciale di Microsoft che addirittura sarà distribuito senza Internet Explorer preinstallato.
Dunque ho subito installato Firefox 3, Antivir, Openoffice 3, The Gimp ed in fine anche Office2003: tutte le applicazioni sembrano funzionare molto bene e perfettamente integrate con questo nuovo sistema operativo.
Il sistema di backup è di tutto rispetto: permette di fare un Ghost, di programmare il backup su supporti esterni e supporti di rete.
Un utile sistema di allerta consiglia su le cose da fare per mantenere il sistema efficace e protetto:
Genial Math Input Panel, per scrivere formule matematiche, è stato progettato per essere utilizzato con una tavoletta a penna su un tablet PC, ma si può utilizzare con qualsiasi dispositivo di input, come ad esempio un touch screen, un mouse. È in grado di elaborare formule e trasferirle ad altri programmi che supportano il formato MathML. Ho provato a esportarlo in Word o Openoffice, pero non sono riuscito. Pare che con Office 2007 funzioni bene.
Pratico il software che permette di stampare le schermate e ritagliare parti e aggiungere testo:
Anche il Paint è molto più avanzato delle precedenti versioni e c’è una interessante utilità che permette di porre post-it con note sul desktop.
Wordpad finalmente è diventato un vero programma di scrittura e permette addirittura di salvare documenti in formato ODT (Open Document, il formato che Openoffice utilizza di default).
Facile programmare il Defrag.
Il sistema di sicurezza mi sembra ben fatto, si può personalizzare il livello di allerta, in modo da non ricevere dal sistema noiosi messaggi, che a volte sono inutili.
Si posso scaricare dal sito di Microsoft e gratuitamente, nuovi temi per il proprio desktop.
Un monitor di sistema piu intuitivo e dettagliato, nell’esempio seguente la memoria fisica del processore con un grafico colorato che mostra i diversi utilizzi di questa.
Naturalmente si può, come in Vista, creare un ambiente grafico più sofisticato aggiungendo gadget utili.
Spegnendo il pc, il sistema avvisa sulle applicazioni ancora aperte e ti chiede se forzarne la chiusura.

Windows 7, it's better
I downloaded an evaluation copy of Windows 7 in Spanish and I installed that in a window of Virtualbox on a PC with a Pentium 4, 3 Ghz.
The conclusion is that Windows 7 seams working very fine, it's stable, fast and with a agreeable graphical interface.
I will show you, without being too technical, how Windows 7 looks like.
The first think I want to remark is that it's possible to deinstall Internet Explorer to make space to other browsers.
I have installed Firefox 3, Antivir, Openoffice 3, the Gimp 2 and in the end Office 2003: all those software are working fine and they are perfectly integrated with this new operative system.
The backup system it's very professional: you can do a ghost and it's easy to program backups in an external support or in the net.
An interesting alert system is giving advises on the task to do to keep Windows 7 efficient:
Genial Math Input Panel, to write mathematical expression, was made to be used with a tablet PC, but you can use it with others input device, like a touch screen or a mouse. The software is able to understand mathematical expressions and to transfer them to other software that support the MathML format. I was trying with Office 2003 and Openoffice 3 but I was not able to do that. I was reading that it's possible with Office 2007.
Useful the software that let you print a screen, to cut the image, to add tests:

Shutting down the PC, Windows 7 is showing the programs still opened and is asking to you if you want to force them to be closed.
